Power Mute is an active Cough Drop, providing all the functions of the Short Stops momentary mute and the Sign Offs latching On/Off switching functions. In addition it will also function as a momentary Push to Talk muting device. The Power Mute also provides a bi-color live/mute status indicator. When light is green, microphone is always on; when light is red, microphone is always off.

The Power Mutes functions are controlled by pre-selectable dip switches found inside the units battery cover. Unit can be run on batteries or provided power supply.

With 40db of attenuation, The Power Mute will adequately mute the microphone signal in most 600ohm line impedance professional audio systems.
